Description
When you come for counselling with Unisus Wellbeing, I am the person you will meet. I’m Kelly, and when you book an appointment I will chat with you to find out what your needs are and to ensure you are matched with a suitable counsellor, whether that is with me or with one of my team.
I am a passionate advocate of women’s rights, I use an exploratory approach to therapy and will use gentle challenging techniques to ensure we can work with the root cause of your issues.
I launched a podcast I launched to give women a platform to say whatever they feel they need to publicly, whilst my private practice gives women a platform to speak in private. This was developed after attending free speech events called Let Women Speak where I discovered that women’s rights were being eroded and safeguarding children was being overlooked.
I know the importance of connection, being given space to speak and be heard which is why I set up and oversee a domiciliary care service called Unisus Care, employing more than 80 people to support over 100 clients. I have a team of staff who manage this service which frees up my time to practice counselling and develop my podcast.
I developed a counselling practice which supports students on placement to gain their hours and also offers clients a low cost counselling option.
I am qualified to a degree level in person centred counselling since 2011
In terms of my own professional practice, I have worked with individuals in a wide variety of different circumstances and with a range of individual needs.
I can help you with issues like:
- Loss and bereavement
- Relationships
- Work related issues
- Anxiety
- Depression and low mood
- Addiction and self-medication
- All kinds of abuse and coercive control
My clinical approach emphasises questioning and exploring issues to enable you to develop your own resolutions to the issues you have. I will also help you to become more resilient and to acquire your own internal resources so that you are better equipped to address future challenges.
I offer a free, no obligation consultation, so you can explore with me what you hope to gain from our therapeutic relationship and we can identify the most beneficial way of working.
