About
In 7 hours, over 5 weeks, you will learn a full body massage to enjoy with your baby.
You will learn about communication through touch and what your baby's subtle cues mean.
You will understand when the best time to Massage your baby is, what oils work well, how to position yourself and your baby in a way that works for both of you, and what to do if your baby is not in the mood.
You will hear about the history of Infant Massage and why cultures have held this ancient practice in high regard for thousands of years.
You will learn about colic and what you can do to help your baby.
You will understand the deeper benefits of massage for your baby, for yourself, your family, and even for wider society.
You will leave with life long skills and ideas on how you can adapt the massage techniques so that you can continue massaging your baby as they grow into a toddler and beyond.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in discussions with your group around topics covering touch, crying, sleep, taking care of you as a new parent, and what other groups are available locally.
The course takes place in a carefully selected venue that is warm, clean and plain, with care taken to create a welcoming and relaxing environment that doesn't overwhelm you or your baby.
Groups are small to enable connections to be made between parents, with an optional WhatsApp chat created specially for your group to allow for chat between classes and beyond the end of the course.
Your course will be led by me, Angela Laverick, a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with almost 20 years experience. I am fully insured, DBS checked and trained by the world renowned International Association of Infant Massage. I have a passion for supporting families in their first year of parenting and this course is an ideal place to start.
